J. ALEXANDER JIMENEZ, Director
John has been working successfully in film and video production since the late 1980's and is emerging as one of Northern California's premiere filmmakers. He has refined his craft as the Director or Cinematographer of numerous short films and commercials. His work and talent have been widely recognized and have earned him several awards, including multiple NATAS EMMY awards, GOLDEN ADDY awards, and the 2000 Sacramento Metropolitan Arts Commission's "Emerging Artist Award." John first attracted widespread recognition in 1996 as the Director of Photography on the critically acclaimed BLOOD GUTS BULLETS AND OCTANE, directed by Joe Carnahan. Following that feature film's success at the 1998 Sundance Film Festival and its subsequent distribution by Lions Gate Films, John wrote and directed, TACO HEAVEN, which has been exhibited at film festivals around the country and earned Smithsonian's "Best of Fest Week" recognition. The Blue Bomber Entertainment production of FUGITIVE HUNTER, which Jimenez co-wrote, marks his feature film directorial debut. It has been released by Lions Gate Home Entertainment and various international distributors.
